From the founding of this nation, the promise has been clear: free people speak freely. Without that right, every other freedom crumbles.
Today, that promise is under attack. Across the western world, governments are clamping down on speech, turning labels like “hate speech” and “misinformation” into weapons of control.
We must reject censorship, even though it means with certainty that others will be free to say that which we despise. If we give governments the power to decide which words are acceptable, we let it determine which thoughts are acceptable.
